Student Benefits

FALSD is proud of our law student members. They have been an integral part of FALSD’s success over the past couple of years. For many of you, your membership with FALSD will be your first introduction to the San Diego legal community.

FALSD is committed to providing the law students at the University of San Diego, California Western School of Law and Thomas Jefferson School of Law with the tools they will need to succeed in law school as young lawyers.

During 2009 lawyer members of FALSD interacted with law students during our spring and summer events. On April 13, 2009, FALSD co-sponsored a panel discussion with the Thomas Jefferson School of Law and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. “Lawyers Giving Back”: Community Service in the San Diego Legal Community. This event was coordinated by our very own law student member, Natalie Garcia.

We also interacted with our law students during our Coronado Beach Clean Up in March 2009. Although we all agreed that there wasn’t much cleaning up to do, it was still a fun activity to get to know our law students.

FALSD will continue to have a presence at the three area law schools.

Come this winter, FALSD together with PALSD will provide a very deserving law student with our annual scholarship. We invite you to turn to FALSD closer to the winter for more information about applying for the law student scholarship.
